Johns Creek, Georgia police have charged a Decatur man with burglarizing several homes while naked. One of the homeowners was a city councilwoman.
A man by the name of Ashdon Gibbs, 21, faces almost 12 criminal charges for his felonious escapades.
Councilwoman Cori Davenport told Channel 2 news that she was upstairs Monday, March 31st with her 17 year old daughter in the kitchen when she saw the naked Gibbs walk into her house. Ms. Davenport related “he was completely naked wearing only a cowboy hat.”
Ms. Davenport said her daughter screamed when she saw him and then the naked burglar ran outside. “You don’t know if he was a pervert, or if he was just mentally off his rocker and looking for a place to shower” she said.
Johns Creek police reported that they caught Gibbs at a house up the street from Ms. Davenport wearing clothes that he had stolen from Katy and Bob Johnson’s home.
Mr. Johnson said that apparently the naked Gibbs threw a large concrete lawn ornament through their window then proceeded to make himself right at home in their house.
The police reported that Gibb’s criminal misadventures occurred in the Prestwick neighborhood, a tony subdivision across Medlock Bridge Road from Atlanta Athletic Club.
Ms. Davenport went on to say that she’s thankful no one got hurt and related: ”Hey, you know crazy. Urban Cowboy in Johns Creek! Who would have thought it.”
